Another month of whiteness interspersed with mud and rain but at least we managed to double last month’s ride total, reaching the dizzy heights of four rides. Again we stuck to the more accessible areas, planning routes to try and avoid the deep snow on the high tops and the muddy morasses of the lower ground. Not a lot of scope there, so we ended up around Guisborough and Kildale again with one ride from Lordstones which had to be curtailed owing to lashing rain. Or more realistically because we were fed up of dragging our bikes through deep, clinging mud. This really is proving to be a winter and a half and the forecasters are not giving us any good news for the immediate future. The novelty of snow is definitely beginning to wear off now.
